I have been watching Full Tilt Poker’s Poker After Dark on NBC a lot recently and I have to say that I am impressed!
Poker After Dark is a televised 5-day tourney in the form of a six player Sit ‘N Go style. Each player contributes $20,000 and the winner takes all ($120,000).
Because of the high stakes poker, mostly pro players who are usually well-known take part. What makes the show so spectacular, is that it is NOT dominated by commentary…you actually get to hear the players converse, make side bets, trash talk and interview with Shana Hiatt while out of the hand. Speaking of Shana, she is as hot as always with her perky comments and constant positive attitude towards poker.
I have watched “The Brat” Phil Hellmuth, “The Kid” Daniel Negreanu, “The Mouth” Mike Matusow, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and “Dolly” Doyle Brunson just to name a few of the stars who have appeared recently. The communication between players, along with the setup and bits of commentary make Poker After Dark the absolute best poker show I have watched on TV.
Poker After Dark airs weekly on NBC (usually late at night)…but sometimes it can be found in the afternoon on other stations who pick up the feed. Of course, check the local listings in your area for television times. The show is sponsored by Full Tilt Poker – probably the best poker room on the net.
If you love poker, and have some players you are a fan of, you should definitely search out Poker After Dark and take a peek…you won’t be disappointed!
